I am a Derbyshire/Staffordshire based photographer and I absolutely adore my job and the families I get to meet. Whilst running my photography business I am also “Mummy” to my three little boys.
I have my own cosy studio In the heart of the peak district in a quaint little town called Ashbourne and I have been a photographer for 10 years, professionally six. I started out as a photographer and college lecturer- so I love anything creative.
My studio is crammed with cute outfits, backdrops and bonnets for the newborn shoots and cake smashes as well as being fully equipped with client comfort in mind. Taking the stress out of bringing your newborn for their first photographs I have a comfy sofa for breastfeeding, spare nappies and wipes as well as a tommee tippee prep machine and bottle warmer. In the studio, you will get the opportunity to look through some gorgeous examples of my work too.
When I am not in the studio I love an outdoor shoot – we are so spoilt in Derbyshire to have some beautiful countryside and woodland on our doorstep. I shoot alone with the occasional second shooter.
I am chosen as a wedding photographer by many mainly because couples love my work and quirky relaxed style but – also because my personality is just the same. You will not stand rigidly for photographs all day long. In fact, you will enjoy your day with your guests whilst I can be found snapping away with my camera and occasionally I may be topping up your fizz or getting the groomsmen to do the “floss”
I am a huge fan of capturing the moment and this is reflected in my work. So, if you’re looking for a photographer that will hunt for the Gruffalo with your children in the woods or get them to slide down a muddy hill in their best white shirt then I am your photographer!
