About Me

Hello, I’m Gemma. Owner of Gemma Yeomans Photography – I’m a one-woman band – all my passions are driven by myself & clients – I am so happy that you have reached my website!
When I’m not photographing those wonderful Teenie tiny humans, I’m actually Mama myself to Dennis, Walter & Bobby – Yep, I’m a fully-fledged boy mum!
So, A little bit about me…
I’m the eldest of five & also have a huge extended family. Family is so important to me.
I live in a small rural village in Derbyshire, close to the Staffordshire border. I live with my partner Craig, our three boys plus dog & cat. I’m a lover of the countryside over city chic any day.
It’s actually super hard to write about yourself & passions when you have become so absorbed in enjoying parenthood, it’s not easy to look at yourself and who you are and find time for your enjoyments.
Okay, so to start I’m a little bit of. vinyl Junkie and love a wide genre music but especially 1950’s/60’s. I love anything old, retro, antique, quirky, floral… so delving into junk shops and charity shops for preloved is a little guilty pleasure I have.
I’m abit of a foodie – I’m a sucker for a roast dinner or full English so I do love to eat out, but I have recently awarded myself as star baker for my renowned rocky road and recently championed gigantic Yorkshire puds!
I love a good spa day or a walk in the woods to relax, although I’m a huge people person and love a good natter I also love abit of quality alone time too.
Going to concerts for long-standing musicians has become a newly found passion and there is nothing I love more than a cheeky kitchen disco at home.
As sad as it sounds, I am a stationery geek & I love to be organised with a good old to-do list.
So much so I thought it would be a good idea to become chair of the PTA for my children’s school (yes, I can sometimes find myself becoming that annoying PTA mum), the amount of organising is insane but the amounts we raise & fun activities we do for the children outweighs this.
My ideal getaway would be a cosy cottage complete with snow outside, board games, chocolate and a hot tub (bliss).
In all seriousness – writing an “about me” once you become a parent is tough but there is honestly nothing more about me, I love more than to snuggle up with my boys – Family is Everything and It is our job to create their legacy.
